Olu Banmeke is a seasoned science educator with over 20 years of experience in science teaching and school administration within the United States and overseas. A multi-award winning educator, former NSTA (National Science Teachers Association) Committee member on Multicultural/ Equity in Science Education (2014-2017); and the current chairperson, NSTA Awards and Recognitions Committee.
Formerly a member of the Prince George's County Public Schools' High School Science Leadership Team; Olu is a newly appointed Assistant Principal in Anne Arundel County Public Schools (serves Phoenix Academy, Annapolis, MD). He also currently serves as a consultant with the Teaching Channel NGSS Squadsters.
Olu is a 2017 ASCD (Association for Supervisors and Curriculum Developers) Emerging Leader cohort, where he is a featured blogger for the ASCD inservice online magazine.
He is a devout equity advocate, and consummate thought-leader on the capacity of ALL students to learn and achieve success!
